BOUNTY!

I am willing to pay $100 for an armidillo pen blank! The process MUST BE documented and a certificate of authenticy must accompany the finished 7/8 x 7/8 x 6 pen blank (i'd think it would be hard to make it any smaller).

Documentation consists of a photograph of the dead armidillo, a photograph of the person who killed it, two photgraphs of the skinning and tanning process, and a photo of the casting process. ANY (or all) parts of the armidillo can be cast, tire tread marks are acceptable, as long as it is documented! -NO BLENDER (or BASSOMATIC) armidillo blanks will be accepted!

The certificate of authencity can be as simple as " I killed the nasty Bas..urd, cleaned it, skinned it and cast it...and this person is my witness"

This bounty ends on October 1, 2010. The finished blank must be recieved by PenMan1 on October 10, 2010.

WOW! That documentation is worse than the BOW talk. How will you be sure they come from Tex or Georgia and not Oklahoma or Arkansas? What is the difference in a TX armadillo vs an OK armadillo?:biggrin:
Do a good turn daily!

Obviously ... the tail of the armadillo would be a natural for a pen.

You wouldn't even need to kill the animal ... just harvest the tail.

Couldn't pay me $100 to touch one of those things. Besides, it's skin isnt like snake skin, it's going to take a while to tan one.

I could have bought an armadillo shell in great shape a few years back at an auction. I looked at it for quite some time and could not see how it could be a pen and still look like it was armadillo, so I passed.

Wouldn't it have to be a pen specific blank? If you just want a 7/8 x7/8x 6" blank of any animal it may as well be rat ground up, dried, and cast....LOL...Rat Jerky....YUMMMM
