I used a Sierra style kit, stainless steel braid from my friends at McMaster. I found that I didn't have enough wall thickness at the ends of the tubes (i.e., the delta between the diameter of the mating pen part and the tube was not great enough to give me enough resin over the braid.

Did I choose the wrong braid, is there braid with a thinner wall I should be using?

What types of pen styles work best for SS braid?

Thanks,

Gary

To go with a similar style, you could try the LeRoi V2. It's a 3/8" tube but same component diameter, so there is more "beef" to the material on the tube. Pictures and thickness of the braid would help too.

A Sierra Vista / Wall Street II uses the same tube but has a larger hardware diameter...more meat on the bone. This might work depending on your final diameter of the braid.

Honestly, I think it would look great on a Lazerlinez Liberty. Same tube as the area but larger bushing diameter. Best of all, solid stainless steel
