Hello fellow pen turners

I find myself going to Ashland Ohio this weekend Saturday, Sunday, & Monday Feb 10-12, 07

Is there any good shops orvsources for Ohio (native) wood (Pen Blanks & small turning wood)... in this area....

Thanks in advance

Bob

Berea Hardwoods is about an hour away, south of Cleveland. They are not open on the 10th (1st and 3rd Saturdays only) but should be open on Monday. In Columbus there are two nice stores - Woodwerks (with a Rockler store inside) on the east side and Woodcraft on the west side.

Heck, if you are going to stop at Berea, there are a few of us on the board who live close. I live about 10 minutes from there and I know at least one other person lives maybe 15 minutes away.

FWIW, Ashland is a bit more than an hour. Maybe an hour and a half.

I live outside Ashland, and would be glad to take you to my Amish neighbor's sawmill, or even share with you my "hoard" of blanks cut from local wood. E-mail or PM me if you're interested (I hope its not so late you won't get this in time).

Ron

Edited to add: If it is too late, maybe we can work out an exchange for some persimmon or pecan?
