Artisan Pen ???

Has anyone tried the Artisan pen kit,RB or FP from craft supply, and can you tell me if the top has a trim piece on the other side of the clip. I just received my first couple of pen Kits from them and I can not see a trim ring for the end of the cap where it mates with the nib end or the base. Is it only on the clip, and finished wood at the end, or did I get shorted. I tried to call but they are closed today.

Dave i have made two of these kits in a fountain pen. The end that mates with the nib end when closed has no trim ring. Just the end of the wood.I painted the inside of the cap black so you couldnt see the brass. But you still have to be careful to smooth the end down. Also the clip has to have a notch taken out of the finial end for the clip to sit in.

Thanks for the info, this is the first ones from them, and I am not sure I am happy with it so far, but I figured it looked good for the price.
