Send me all your wood. I might need to build a raft to get to work in the morning! I never ever saw this much rain in the 10 yrs I've lived here and I am on high ground! The creek in my back yard, normally a trickle, is 40 feet wide. The circle in front is now a lake completely covering the road. My barn/shop is build up like a hill in the lowlands...another few inches and I'll have to swim to get to it even though it's still dry inside. The pond next door completely covers it's beach and it's dock, the dock normally being about 12 inches above the water...and the rain just keeps coming. This morning the weather man said we got 3 inches of rain..I think he measured his rain indoors, because that number is impossible...I'm betting 6-8 inches.

I feel for you Jeff. Im currently dealing with two major rivers that run in my county. Both are usually at 6 to 8 feet and are now currently over 20 feet deep. We've shut down several bridges and roads, and evacuated several areas of unincorporated towns. The red cross just set up a flood relief shelter. Its amazing how many people still call to ask if they can get across a roadway that has been blocked off because of water. Last night I had a girl attempt to drive across a roadway with what she thought was only a few inches of water. She stalled her car out in the middle and by the time she got out, the water had risen and was flowing in her windows and above her seats. Thank God I live on a hill.
