I have the opportunity to buy some Manzanita burl "Nuggets" but i don't know how well priced they are...
The first 2 are $15 each and the Third is $20... Is this price worth it? they said the grain is very tight and would make an extremely figured pen...

How big are they? Manzanita often has voids and has lots of silica in the wood so your tools will dull more easily, but is it a beautiful wood. I don't think that the price is too much if they are a reasonable size.

All i have is the pictures so going from the size ratio of the boot id say the $20 one is close to 8-10 inches and the smaller ones are 6-8"...

Yes, buy it. That is a beautiful wood.

I can think of worse ways to spend $50.

I'd go for it but remember that manzanita burls can hold a lot of rock and dirt so don't use your best blade on the initial cuts

They are ok, not bad, not awesome in my opinion. The price is ok, not a gouge on you, but you can do better if you go to any wood carving shows. You never know what is inside one of those. Like everyone says, you can have a huge void full of rock and sand, or several small voids, or just wood inside. That sand will eat your chisels quick. The figure is nice, the color is nice. Turquiose powder is a great looking contrast for any voids to be filled in that color of wood.
