Just a head's up for everyone. I just got off the phone with Gary. He's expecting snow all day Thursday and Friday with an Arctic Blast on Saturday. Also where he lives they don't have snow removal on the roads. Trying to see what everyone thinks.

Heck Lou---that's what I told Ernie---it's not like I have to drive anywhere.
Anyone who wants to brave the weather--I will be in the shop.

I still plan to be there. If the snow is too bad, just give us a heads up on Friday. My 3 hour trip may turn into a bit more.

Is anyone bringing the wife or girl friend (or both)? My wife is off Saturday and bugging me to do something. I thought a drive in the country may count. I just don't want to be "the guy that brought his wife".

According to the TV news, things aren't looking too good for this Saturday, I hope they are wrong. Down Gary's way they may get up to 11" of snow Friday!!!!!!!!!

I'll be making the trip no matter what the weather and I'm picking up Todd for a little extra traction.
Tom, we will be driving by your house, how about we stop and pick you up? We have plenty of room.
Gerry

Tom,
I'm meeting Todd in Corydon at 8:00, we should be at your house by a little before 9:00.
Gerry

Hey Tom you want Gerry to slow down when we come by your house. If we are going to be at Gary's before 9.You might see a flash go by. Todd

Right now they are calling for 2 inchs on Friday and 2 more Friday night.
If it gets as cold as they are forecasting it will be powder.
These folks down here have been known to close the schools over a forecast. They really don't do snow well at all.

It will never make it that far north----it's coming in from Tx. We are on the edge of it here 100 miles south of you folks.
We should start a poll -------you must be here Saturday to win-----the question----how deep will the snow be in my driveway at 7:00am----who ever guesses the closest wins a prize.-----
Oh Ernie gets to guess also----he has a note from his doc.
Please post your guess here-----closest one wins----something

Friday night----7:00pm----------he must of got lost.
Salt truck just went by the house-----it's been snowing for 3 hours now---still less than 2 inchs on the ground. Hopefully the worst is going south of us.
I plan on keeping to fire going in the shop tonight so it will be warm out there.
I will post updates through out the night if there is any real changes.

Gary the NWS site says 1 inch or less here.If you want us to we can stop and load the truck on the way.So I can dump what I need in the drive to get the 4 inches.Sound good to you. Todd

It's about Midnight here------looks like 4 inchs of powder on the ground.
NWS still shows more coming but it ain't snowing here now.
I have been using a leaf blower to keep the walks cleared off.
It's so dry the the snow ball fight has been cancelled
Temp in the shop is in the mid 50's and the baked beans smell real good.

Snow update as of 4:30 am--------6 to 7 inchs on the ground-----temp in the teens.
Temp in the shop is in the mid 50's----real nice.
Lost the battle of keeping the walks cleared-----darn

I was doubtful as if I was coming. But Gerry's picking me up. should be here in 10 minutes. So see ya down there. Also I hope my prize is cool:biggrin:! Will be the first time I've been out of the house in 3 weeks, can't wait.

Snow removal.

Margie likes to shovel snow-----strange-------?????????

Don't let anyone know but we all escaped yesterday. This was a fun trip. Took twice as long to get there due to snow and only being able to go 30mph. Just want to say thanks to Gary for having us and Gerry for picking me up.
