I think I now have the need for a website and an actual company name and was wondering what hosting solutions you all use. I was thinking Go Daddy because of all the extras you can get and the website builder they have looks very simple and easy to use.

My wife is now selling Tupperware and meeting lots of people and when she tells customers and other sellers I make pens, the first reaction is always "WOW, that's really neat", followed by all sorts of questions. I'm thinking that if I can come up with a catchy name and .com address that I can get some business cards printed for her to pass out so that customers can see what they would be getting if they ordered anything from me.

I remember seeing it mentioned in the past. I just switched to Host Monster and am very happy I did. I don't know what their website building tool looks like since I just moved everything I already had from one host to another. One company I would not recommend is Network Solutions, their website building tool is amazingly restrictive. I tried to use it and got almost nowhere for more than a month until my 15 year old son rescued me and wrote it all in HTML. I have also seen Site Kreator mentioned a lot as having a good tool for building websites.

I used to use them for a video editing website. But I used my own software.. There customer support is great.. I just bought my pen website through them last night.. I am going to try and use there software this time. Yes I like godaddy. The only complaint I have with them is. I had them for about a year last time.. I think they called me maybe 6 times in the year to see how I liked it and trying to get me to upgrade..

i use godaddy. pretty simple to use.

i use the free hosting.

My site is nothing fancy, it was put together as a site to show different colors and styles of gun racks i make.

John, I notices the large commercial on top. Is this because it is hosted free? I want to make sure there are no other advertisements on my site than my own.

yes it is because it is free hosting.

this the cost to upgrade my acct.
WebSite Tonight Economy - 5 Page Web Site (Free with Domain, ad-supported) - $0.00/mo. I use this

WebSite Tonight Economy - 5 Page Web Site (free of advertising) - $4.99/mo.
WebSite Tonight Deluxe - 10 Page Web Site (free of advertising) - $8.99/mo.
WebSite Tonight Premium - Unlimited Pages Web Site (free of advertising) - $12.99/mo

Well, I signed up for my domain name and will probably buy the "website tonight" package next week when I get all my photos in order and decide what a good look and setup would be.

I'm surprised my wife thought the name I came up with was a good one and then told me she could sell my pens better than I can. I guess I'm better with my hands than I am at sales.

I am not much of a techie, but I have my web pages hosted (placed) at my ISP, they provide 250MB space as part of the package and I bought my web (domain)name from godaddy.com. I just forward the domain to where my pages are located and I have a web site for approx. $15.00 a year.

Mikey, we've used GoDaddy for over 2 years now and it's suited us just fine. If I recall it gave us the best value for our money at the time. Don't ask me off the top of my head what we pay, I'll have to look it up. I do remember we bought more than a one year subscription which made it cheaper. We use SiteKreator for our website and it links easily with GoDaddy for a nice seamless log on to our site.

I use godaddy very happy with them. You do get alot of emails for other products. I just set me email to spam for those ads. They are easy to deal with and their tech support is really good.
