Anyone tried this to color PR

I was at hobby lobby earlier and seen some stuff called Dust Free Powder Paint.Was wondering if anyone has tried it to color PR.Its only $5.99 for 1lb jar of it.Seems like it may work.

Looks interesting, but for the price I would just buy more powdercoating powder. It is already polyester and ultrafine/sifted.
 
What it is, is the grade school poster paint, that you mix with water. If applied to thick it flakes off as it drys, as it will shrink. If you try it, mix a small batch up and see what happens.

I would not use it. We did to begin with but it would never completely display e and would always leave residue when poured
 
Doesn't really work. The small amount that you end up getting to mix with the resin leaves ALOT to be desired. You're better off with mica powders and the usual pigments.

I've got a jar of green I bought a couple years ago if you want it :wink:
 
Thanks for the info.I will stick with what I have been using and write this Idea off as a no go.Now got to go look and see what Micas I wanna get.
 
I tried the black and it is difficult to get it to mix in. You have to really work at it. Actually had powder at the bottom of some I tried to pour. What didn't mix sank to the bottom.

Let us know what colors of micas and where you decide to get them at. I need to get me some too. Any great places and greater prices on this stuff?????
