I see what you are saying about the kit being Americana, with Dayacom only showing threaded caps. Everything else looks spot on - from the clip to the lip on the nib.
I suppose it's possible that it's a style Dayacom no longer carries - as they do have some other kits that are offered in both threaded and smooth ends. A zoom in on https://www.dayacom.com.tw/product_02.php?product_id=249&prod_item_id=1 shows a similar end cap that at least looks like it's not threaded.
The creator also said this
"The pen kit, I purchased online to produce from Dayacom Corporation. I used a junior major gold pen kit. http://www.dayacom.com.tw/"
But it is definitely not a Major.
Another unfortunate possibility is that it's a chinesium knock off. Judging by the number of "patent pendings" on their site, it's obviously (or rather, even more obviously) a probelm.

It's real close to Berea's Flat Top American https://www.bereahardwoods.com/pen-kit/sets/flat-top-american-chrome-fountain-pen-snap-cap.html but the metals are off.
