My son and his buddy just got accepted into West Virginia U for the fall semester. He set his sights on that college as a freshman in High School. I visited the campus with him last year. It made me want to sign up for some classes right too!! :)
Any one know if That blue and goldish color is available in a pen blank? It's real hard to tell true colors on my screen. Any Mountaineers out there? I think it would be a great gift for both of them.

Couldn't tell you about the colors, however a huge congratulations to your son (and to you) on his wonderful accomplishment!!!

Congrats to you and your son! There is a dymondwood blank that is close. Wood N Whimsies calls it banana berry. Arizona Silhouette carries EPR in blue angel which is also pretty close. The closest match in commercially available blanks that I have found is dyed box elder burl. One blue blank, one yellow blank, then segment it.

More often than not, however, I just turn curly maple and dye it to a dark blue with aniline dye. Then fit it with gold hardware.

If you really want him to be popular there, send some couches with him [}:)]
