Anyone know where to find tie clasp/clip kits??

I have a customer who would like a tie clip made from wood that I have from the chapel of his old college (where I work as a carpenter).

I do not know of anyone that sells tie clips for wood, but it seems like a very do-able thing. Something like the one below, except with a circular spot with a recessed area to apply (epoxy) a wooden medallion.

I searched CSUSA and PSI, but came up with nothing.

Any suggestions?

Hobby Lobby has a pretty good jewelry findings aisle...may be able to find something that would accept a wood facing....

Well, I just browsed their site and didn't find quite what I was looking for. There was a "jewelry kit" that had something kinda similar but not the kind of clasp my customer was looking for.

Any other suggestions?

Maybe a "Tie Tack" would be easier to find?

Good point, I could rob the hardware off of something. I have plenty of scrap to make a temporary mandrel out of to make a few one-offs.

Rio Grande has some findings that might work -- searched on tie to see bars and tics.
