Anyone planning on attending the 2007 MPG interested in doing a demo or mini-seminar? Please let me know.

Greg ..... wish I was closer to the Midwest. You might want to try the same strategy we did for the first Atlanta Bubbasville ...... we kept an eye out for new IAP members in the Introductions Forum. Once we saw someone from the SouthEast, we pm'd them with an invitation.

We also pm'd IAP members who we knew lived in the SE by looking at their signature lines and/or membership info. Those "personal" emails really raised the attendance level.

(Also, are you able to work in the word "Bubbasville" anywhere in the title?)

Thanks Al! I'll have been sending a few "personal invitations", none near like I should. Spotty at best. I will begin rectifying that soon! I wasn't sure if "Bubbasville" was free for anyone to use or if one needed permission to use it. I had asked about it in a thread here which informed us of the Bubbasville website but the few times I checked it I didn't see a response. With this event all ready named for this year, I was thinking of a secondary honorary or a.k.a name of Bubbasville Midwest and if things become such that there is interest for antoher next year, there is a good possiblity of simply going whith the Bubbasville title. Perhaps if there are enough regional events, out of these could arise a national event. Metal Meet, which is a family of sheet metal workers (everything from ornamental flowers, suits of armor, to car parts and bodies to??? :) ) They have periodic regional meets and then a yearly international (Yes, people come from around the world) meet. It is a great time of making new friends, growing established friendships, and the exchanging of knowledge, all based around metal and sheet metal fabrication. I am fortunate to not only have the home of a regional event within an hour and a half drive but the international event is held there also. The sad part is I am not usually afforded the time to attend. I haven't attended since 2004 and was honored by being asked to do an airbrushing instructional class.
