I'll be making a trip up there next week to go fishing at Obakamiga Lake. I don't know if I'll have any time for visiting but was just wondering if anyone was close by.

Jim, 766 miles is a little far for a visit. Bug juice is definitely on the packing list. You're right about being deep in fishing country. The only way to get to the lake is by seaplane. We're staying in a hotel in Hornepayne before flying out the next morning.[
]Joel, Not sure I can keep the fish fresh after driving all the way back to SC. Most of my relatives in Indiana will get the fish. I'll keep an eye out for the wood though.[

The only wood up that way is black spruce and Jack pine, not good for much except tent poles and burning...[
