You want to feel old? Guiding Light is going off the air in September. (I heard it on NPR yesterday...) I told my mother yesterday and she said she remembers her mother listening to it on the radio back when soap operas sold soap!

Me? I'll feel old when The Simpsons goes off the air.

I just finished watching the last episode of ER. It has been evolving for many years. Being an RN I really like watching it. They did a good job of making sure that things were well researched. I'll miss watching it. Guess I'll have to go to bed. It is too late to be downstairs turning.

I didn't actually watch it, but did laugh at my wife for crying when it was over. She has watched it religiously since season 1. I did occasionally check it out to see if GE was doing any obvious product placement. With GE being a corporate sponsor of the show, several of my fellow field engineers have had cameo's working on ct machines or MR scanners or whatever new machine GE was plugging in the background.

I was disappointed in the end for sure. There were alot more of the older actors they could have come on for a few minutes. Seems they filled the dead space with new faces and left too much still up in the air. But everything has to come to an end so that we can have more shows like Family Affair and Law and Order. Sometimes they just can't seem to leave good things alone. My opinion only of course!
