I'm using Pearl Ex pigments with great success and am interested in trying opaque pigments, such as those sold by US Composites along with their PR. Have any of you tried them? Any findings that I should be aware of?

Brad - I've used them all. You'll have to get used to adjusting MEKP or cure time based on the color. Some colors have little effect on curing, some (e.g. black) really slow it down. Depends on amount added though. Most of the colors don't require much to get a dense opaque color. White and yellow require a lot more than the others.

Their sampler kit is a good way to test all the colors.

I've used their transparent colors, but prefer dyes from other vendors. The US Composites transparent colors are not very transparent if you use enough to get a strong vibrant color.

I used there black got a nice shiny opaque black. But just about anything you put into PR you'll have to add more MEKP. I use 3-4 drops for clear. The more stuff you put in it the more MEKP you need.

Keep Notes
Good Luck
