Wooo! That was good for a laugh. I used to watch him on NWA with the rest of the Four Horsemen - Tully Blanchard, Olie & Arn Anderson & the Nature Boy!!! It may have been choreographed, but it still had to jar your head some to get souflexed off the top rope, eh?
I can't stand the stuff they do on TV nowadays, but I kinda liked the old stuff. Of course, it probably made me mean, hateful, confrontational, nasty and sneaky watching that stuff.

"If you want to be the man...you have to beat the man. You have to step in the squared circle......you gotta ride Space Mountain. Whooooo, whoop whoop whooooooo"

My Dad knew him personally. Went to his house in Charlotte a couple times. Can't believe how long his in-ring career lasted, but I stopped watching a while back.

I have started watching MMA now though.

I used to work for the State and the guys in Charlotte said he was in there several times and was one of the nicest fellows they ever met. Said one of his first "matchs" was wrestling in the rain in the parking lot of a Pontiac dealership and advertising cars in between rounds. :D

I used to like Ric back in the day when I watched wrestling. I work for a Wal-Mart distribution center, everyday when we do "the cheer" (Which I hate doing) the last part is "Who's #1?", and I always say Ric Flair, and give a big ol' Whoo!
