OK, computer is not my things but I have to help my son project in Power Point this will be a Narrative Slideshow including background, transition, effects, formatted text, change to layout, pictures and hyperlinks, all is fine beside the hyperlinks, I copy and paste the link to the slideshow but they are not active I mean that the teacher want to click on the link in the slide to see where the photo(s) or background come from, my question is how can you make an active hyperlink? does one know how to add music in the slide show, any help will be appreciated, Thanks

For the hyperlink:
1. type in your web address as text...(http:\\www.penturners.org)
2. highlight the text containing your web address
3. Click on (in the menu bar) Insert, Hyperlink (or the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+K)
4. Type in the web address in the Address section of the Edit Hyperlink window.

The hyperlink is only active while the slide is being viewed as a slideshow. The hyperlink is not clickable in the "Normal" view.

This is in PowerPoint 2002 SP3.

For music in the slideshow, do you have a song/music clip that you want to play for the whole slideshow or do you have different sounds that you want to play on different slides?

Not knowing which version of PowerPoint you're using makes these questions a little tough to answer specifically. I will tell you that a hyperlink in PowerPoint actually links to another slide in the presentation. I don't belive it will work like a hyperlink in an email. One way you could handle this is to have a text box with the photo source, credits etc appear just before you advance to the next slide. This is very simple to do. As far as adding music, that depends on if you want one wav file for the entire presentation or different wav files for different slides. The easiest way to instruct you is to suggest that you open up the presentation while the computer is attached to the internet. Then simply hit the F1 key to start the online Microsoft help. From there just type in what you want to do and it will provide the directions.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific. I use PowerPoint 2007 and I have just about completely forgotten how to use PowerPoint 2003 since it works very differently.

I hope this helps.

Now you are going to confuse him!

LOML was about ready to throw her computer at me when I asked her that question once - after an hour's worth of PP explanation.
