Any pool cue turners around?

I met some new friends, one of whom is a pool fanatic who saw some of my segmented pens and went nuts.

He handed me a cue that is in 5 sections with screw together brass joints and said make him something fancy like the segmented pens!

To me, this will be like making 5 large pens and I don’t foresee any problems, but am I missing or overlooking something? Are there any hidden obstacles that aren’t readily obvious?

You can get supplies as well as calling Lee at http://briannaproducts.com/ I've seen his shop and some of the process of his making the cues. Really something interesting.
