Any opinions on these pumps?

The TurnTex website has a LOT of information about pumps for vaccum chamber system. They break down the few good ones and then everything else is made in China and will work but keep expectations tempered.

Thanks I've read that and spoke with him. He recommended trying to find a used unit but I'm not having any luck locating one.

I need to keep looking.

FWIW. I found a pump at a pawn shop for less than 40 dollars. It was a pump used for a/c units, looked a little dirty but works like a champ.

I also have a Harbor Freight pump that works well. Not sure what the longevity will be, but it's going on 2 years with no incidents yet.
