I found a person that deals in recycled pallet wood. I obtained from him the following (but don't trust my spelling, as I'm guessing :confused:) Just curious if anyone has heard of these types of wood.

selltus it is a light and dark brown wood, the dark color is darker than walnut.
kumia it is like balsa wood, extremely lite weight and a tan colour

yes, photos would be helpful but dang kids hid the camera, and I can't find it. :mad:

hopefully this weekend I'll get some time and throw a piece on the lathe and see what it looks like turn.

He also has Brazilian Cherry, I've seen and worked with this before.

Pallets make for great wood finds. A freind of mine owns a lumberyard. He says that the shipments he gets from other places come on pallets made from their local hardwoods, like greenheart, purpleheart, jatoba (B. Cherry) etc. It's another source of cheap wood, and a good deal.
