any Ipod Shuffle owners?

If anyone here has an Ipod Shuffle, does it take the standard earphone jack plug? I have a real nice earphone set but I broke my old mp3 player and it doesn't work anymore.

I have an Ipod Nano and it uses a standard mini stereo earphone plug. I would assume the Shuffle would also. I use earphones from something else as I can't stand the earbuds.

Yeah, I have an old iPod Shuffle and a new one - same earphone jack plug as the Mini - all use same standard "mini" plug.

Yep.. Good news is 99% of mp3 players are standard headphone jack.. Normally only gets weird when you get into phones[}]

yeah normal plug only mp3 players made in asia use the 2.5 plug.

Thanks. I wound up getting a knock-off brand, we'll see how it lasts. Was about half the price of the Shuffle.



I wonder why all the mp3 players, including Ipods, come with such PATHETIC ear buds? I have yet to see one that didn't come with ear buds sized more for freakin elephants than humans.

I had to buy a pair of the smaller, silicone-insert styles for myself, which I love, they work great. Not to mention they were $4 at Ross and have a fantastic sound.

it should use a standard 3.5mm jack. Phones are the wacky thing they normally use a 2.5mm jack

I had to upgrade to a 40$ pair of earbuds immediatly, cuz I crank that thing when I'm in the shop and the stock ones cracked and sounded terrible, not to mention didn't fit well, and the soft inserts block sound pretty well too. I know I'm gonna go deaf.

I have another question though, I broke the dock for my Shuffle, I'm wondering if I can buy just a new dock?

Look up docks on ebay there should be any amount of them
