I'm a fisherman wannabe, does that count.. I've been planning to make a trip up the Tellico River to the trout beds for over a year... still haven't made it.

Now that I am a "senior" citizen my fishing license for "life" is pretty cheap.

I bought some lure kits at WC last time we were up there... so far I've only made a mess of them...

I went fishing with an old man one time down at the coast,he was catching fish like crazy and i was doing nothing but feeding them,I said hey Fred,why are you catching fish,same bait about ten feet apart and i am catching nothing?he said you gotta be smarter than the fish to catch em,i quit fishing with him[!]

I started turning because I wanted to make my own grips and reel seats for fly rods that I build (a logical next step in the jouney from "fishing rod parts assembler" to "fishing rod maker")

Pen turning was a happy accident that came about when I asked a friend to show me some advanced turning methods and techniques.

Anway, yup, I fish

I keep meaning to try making reel seats, but I forget to search for the kits. I love to fish. I was going to make a "dolphin pen" but chuck beat me to it.
