Well, this is my second (and hopefully last) baby within a week (see post about ITALY). She had this little philly just a couple of hours ago. I just gotta brag...they are the cutest things on earth IMHO.

What a beautiful baby![] They're so much fun to be around when they're really young. They don't know if they should be friendly or not and can really act silly. We had two, both fillies, two years apart.

HHMMM....I don't know Jim. I might consider Travis' lathe trade for a horse. []

Ron, the father is a huge black and white quarter horse paint. I'm really suprised the horse was not more patchy with either black or white. I have 3 horses here with the same stud and one is jet black, one buckskin, and now this little paint. You never know what your going to get sometimes.

Oh and Johnathon, it's P.E.T.A., and they are a P.I.T.A (pain in the $$$).[]

I never saw horse in Italy, but I did have Buffalo there. I have been in a few countries where it is best if you just don't ask what it is....you may not want to eat again for a while if you do. [xx(]

Horse is considered a staple in many parts of the world. It's just another animal. In France, if you order "bifstek" you will more than likely be served horse.

How can you brag? Momma horse did all the work. [] Actually, as a former cattleman, I know sometimes momma, cow or mare, needs help at birthing. Plus all the work that goes into raising and breeding earns bragging rights. Well done.

Beautiful animals there! I know very little about horses, but I've always been fascinated by them - they seem so graceful and regal.

That reminds me of the time my grandfather had a cow that needed some help. I was probably around 14-15 and a distant cousin (about a year younger than me) by marriage was there too. Now this guy was always bragging and acting all big and tough. The vet helping with the delivery got me to help pull on the chain he had attached to the calf. My cousin ended up hurling behind a tree at the sight! []
