:glasses-nerdy: Retired and just tired of being retired, so I stated myself a new hobby of turning pens. I have over two cords of wood in my wood pile and a lot of it is spalted maple and hickory and other woods as well. recently, I had a request for PR blanks with a piano clip art attached to the tube. I found the ice tube trays at my local Walliworld for $4.47. They work great if the tube is sprayed with vegetable oil for a release agent. I am also experimenting making bottle stops and casting PR in the tops. I am so glad that I had to retire. I am always dreaming up things to create.

Welcome from Limestone County, post pics of some of your work. We like to see them. Also watch out for posting cocerning our North Alabama Tennessee chapter meetings. We have a lot of fun and do some turning then also.

Welcome to the group! From Wichita Falls, TX

you should have no problem creating blanks from those materials, its easy!
please pardon the ripple effect of the resin on either, it is a result of the heat used in the curing process but does not affect the design in any way!
