Another Hybrid pine cone form

Hello folks

The first one of these I made sold a few days after I made it. I was then approached by a private collector who asked me to make another similar piece for him. so here's another large Hybrid pine cone hollow form
3 3/4" tall by 3" wide

I really like the mixed resin colors. Did you use Alumilite to pot the pine cone? Nice job!

Was wondering what kind of pine tree your getting your cones from? I like the Lollobby Pine that seems to grow to the correct size to fit into the 3" molds that I use(some need just a little trimming around the edges).

Are you using something on the inside of the 'form' to help preserve the cone/acrylic(stabilizing it)?

Scott: i'm not sure which tree these come from- I buy them. i dont treat the inside with anything... i cant even get my little finger into it!!
