Hiya Everybody,
I have been lurking around for the past few weeks and finally decided to jump in and sign up. I am a Network Admin during the day so I am looking at something to do after being on the computer all day. I have experimented with wood carving (power and hand), scrollsaw/intarsia and now working on turning.
My mother in law has a workshop set up with a couple of lathes and she has allowed me to make some pens along with a pizza cutter handle, and bottle openers.
I recently received an order 20 pens and another order for 4 seam rippers. My boss also just hinted on an order of another 100 pens after seeing a pen I made for him.
My next step is to beg an plead with my mother in law to borrow one of her lathes and other tools while I save for my own so I am not having to drive an hour to turn something.
