Another Acorn Box

I thought I would try my hand at a little segmentation work. This was my third attempt, more or less. Still room for improvement. This acorn box is a little over 2 inches in diameter at the cap. The picture that shows the threads was taken before I put a finish on it. This little box has 123 pieces of wood in it. A couple coats of WOP, buffed and waxed.

Looks great and the threads are very well done. That's a lot of little pieces. I'm not sure I have the patience for that.

Using the Chefware Kits EZ-Jig to make the threads. I've made dozens of these - only not segmented. And made other threaded lid boxes as well. The segmentation does seem to take the threads really well.
