Man, Ken, you've had more than your share, that's for sure. Hope you start feeling better soon. I prescribe a week in Playa del Carmen.

Hey Ken!!1

Dawn had "textbook case" of shingles some years back. Racine doctor in ER told her there was nothing they could do - she suffered intense pain for DAYS!!!

STAY ON the meds --- believe me, I have SEEN the alternative and it was not pretty.

(Oh, she finally went to the ER in another hospital and they rehydrated her and treated the shingles - also gave her pain pills -- two days and she had recovered. What a difference a knowledgeable treatment can make!!!)

Ken, your making me feel good about my show from hell this past week-end, we at least paid hotel, booth, food put a few dollars in our pockets and Diane is now buying a new set of tires and tune up on her doctors Jag(thankfully Medicare and supplemental Insurance so really you all are buying the tires)from the Viral flu she caught there. And I just ordered a new tent to replace the one that tried to beat me home by 2 days..
My dad who is 88 had the shingles and it's really painfull take the meds get some rest and rejoin the living in a few days.....

Two years ago---lady in the next booth was sweeping up some trash in her booth---got bit by a spider----4 hours later the have to evac her in a chopper----some kind of flesh eating virus starting eating a hole in her thigh.
Oh---we are packing for this weekends show right now.

Ken,

My sympathy goes out to you. A couple of months ago I thought I had a bad ear infection, turned out it was shingles. I'm currently going through another bout, with the entire back/right side of my head feeling like it's on fire. Luckily, the doc I went to about the 'ear infection' figured it for what it is and treated it, my symptoms usually last for only a few days when I get an 'outbreak'. Wish I got the fun pain pills, though - I only got Tylenol3, and it doesn't always work so well...

Anyway, get well soon, bud.

Thanks guys, I've learned when to take what so I have a few hours of brain operation, my wife bought me some real loose fitting rayon Hawaiian shirts, She'd kill me if she caught me working in them and my typing posture is improved, I aint' even touching my sides,Now I understand why the doctor was amazed when they didn't hurt on my leg, this feels like my side and half my stomach are on fire, the meds have been keeping me pretty mellowed out just a notch or two above comatose but the hard part is there is one I have to take every 4 hours, I hate getting up at midnight and again at 4 in the morning unless I'm going fishing but at least I'm a bit more coherent.
I have one more closed end ferrule to turn and then I can get my major debt off I can't wait for the person to get the pieces, mayhaps he'll take some pictures of the tools one of them is pretty cool but they are for a pretty cool guy and a special friend of his.
