CHEAPER? That is very expensive actually.

I bought my anchorseal much cheaper than that...I think less than $60.00 for the 5 gallons including shipping to me.

Call UC Coatings and inquire about their current price

Thanks, Dario, I called them, and it was less than $52 shipped. I almost went with the 2 gallon pail for 30 something, but I figured, since I'm going to do a lot of cutting over the next couple of months, it's more cost effective to get the large pail.
Thanks again!!

When I bought my 5 gal. bucket of ancorseal it was about $50.00 including shipping. I used one gallon, saved a gallon and sold the rest at cost to members of my woodturning club. I still came out ahead over buying one gal at a time.

I called yukon lumber today to get a little anchorseal to get me through till my 5 gal pail comes (I cut a bunch of tulip poplar yesterday), and they are selling it for $20 a quart!!! That is why I thought that the ebay price seemed pretty cheap. I am not buying any from Yukon, I will just wait till my 5 gal pail gets here, and hope for the best that my wood will not check too badly. BTW, I have never done a wood gloat, I should take a picture of my pile of pretty spalted poplar and post it.... Hmmmm.....

In the mean time...make sure your wood is out of direct sunlight. If they are small enought to fit in platic bags (trash bags work great) do put them in. If not you can also just wrap the cut ends with plastic bags. You can also use paint for now if you have any left lying around. Theay are not as good but will help reduce checking.

As with everything it may vary...mine took a week.

That said, a week is enough for checks to develop and wreck havoc on your wood pile.

It is great doing business with them. [:)] Mine might have taken a bit longer being farther south [;)]

As with any good vendor, we should promote them when we can, as token of our appreciation for the good product and service. You are now officially tasked to spread the word when someone else asks anchorseal question [;)] LOL
