This Winter quarter AAW magazine is showing the work of Lou Metcalf, Glenn McCullough, Kurt Hertzog, and John Ferrell on page 67 in the Gallery. Their work is exquisite and really exhibits stunning craftsmanship and artistry. It truly is a level to aspire to in pen turning.
Hats off to these amazing turners and artists. They should all be proud of the exhibition of this stunning work. Please give it the time to admire it.

Cindy,
I also got my copy today and thank you for the honorable mention, here. I, too am pleased with the recognition and the photos in the American Woodturner, but am most proud to be considered in the company of such gifted penmakers.
I am certain that Russ Fairfield had some influence on the editors and should also be given a Thank You.
Dont forget to vote for Kurt Hertzog in the upcoming AAW election, so he can be a recognizable voice, on our (the penmakers) behalf. I thinnk he'll make a fine board member!

I also received my copy today. Very beautiful work by all the artists mentioned. But I want to let Lou know that my wife, with out knowing any of the names involved, immediately pointed to the "wood and acrylic" and Holly and acrylic" as her two favorites. As for me, I'm just glad that I am allowed access to this forum and exposed to the fantastic work of so many of the members here.

for those of us who are too poor to afford a subscription, could the work in question be posted here somehow?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I feel very honored that Russ thought of me for this gallery. I am also honored to be in the company of such highly thought of pen turners both on this forum and those in the gallery. Again thanks...

Congrats to all!

Where can I get this copy of the magazine?

Is the article on hidden clip by Russ Fairfield from the magazine posted somewhere online?

Congratulations to Kurt, Lou, Glenn and John on their amazing work. Craftmanship like this inspires us all. Thanks to Kurt Hertzog I was inspired to create a design for a calligraphy pen which was my entry for the Penmakers Guild. Kurt is one of the few penmakers that I know that has a large body of work devoted to calligraphy pens. Beautiful and creative designs using spindle work technique. Kurt is running for the board of directors of the AAW and will make a great representative for all woodturners. Darrell Eisner
