Greetings
I want to start calligraphy again. I found my 40 year old perfectly serviceable Sheaffer fountain pens and decided to make an Aluminum desk pen. Body and cap are aluminum with an acrylic cap finial and threads and an acrylic fill in the end of the body. The original pen body threads were glued in the body to accept the nib. A silver initial, bought on eBay, was epoxied to the cap for a roll stop.
Length=5.88 inches
Uncapped length=5.14 inches
The pen is surprisingly light, but shows every fingerprint.

Thanks for looking and comments appreciated.

Very nice pen. I make them from aluminum and brass. My early pens were highly polished. Current ones I actually do with a satin finish. It hides fingerprints and wear and tear better than polished.
