This is for Mike from Alumilite. I received the order with the various dyes and the white dye I wanted to try. I experimented a very little bit and need to perfect the formula but think it will work for what I wanted to do. I am able to take the clear and add the white to make it opaque and add some pearlX and get the shimmer I need. I am going to experiment with the adding of the black to the mix and see where that leaves me.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending how you look at it, I have returned to work a crazy schedule of 7-12's and will have to put the experimenting on hold and that means no shop time for awhile again.

I do want to thank you for both running the promotion you did throught our birthday bash which I took full advantage of and for answering my questions. I hope to get back to this real soon and post some photos of what I was trying to accomplish.

Your welcome John. And thank you for the feedback. Without the feedback we are limited as to what assistance we can provide people. We have a lot of mold making and casting knowledge from tons of different industries that do apply across different applications. So please don't hesitate to throw out a question to see what we might be able to come up with for you. The white dye is a perfect example. Since we have a white resin, there as been very little demand for a white dye. However if your objective is to make a transluscent or cloudy casting, that is exactly what you need. And it is something we need to start putting on the shelf and stocking.
