I need to apolagize for the first post. I didn't intend to come off as an expert. Actually I am far from it and am still just learning.
Saturday a man came that was nor sure what to use to cast parts for duck calls and he was asking for the wrong products.

We cast some pen blanks (I don't have a mold for duck call) and turned a pen. I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most but is was fun and rewarding to help him. He even showed me some things about turning.

It was a great experience for me and I am simply offering to get together and swap ideas with fellow turners. It's lonely out here away from the big cities with nobody with the same interests.

To bad were are so far a part, I think that the Michigan chapter of IAP members would enjoy it. Maybe a road trip for next spring/summer! Thanks for the offer.
