I am casting various objects in Alumilite and would like to get some swirls of different colors in the blanks (for example green and bronze). I'm using Costal Scents mica for the colors. I can't swirl after the pour because of the objects I'm embedding so how do I do this?

Thanks in advance.

Huh?
Your question leaves a lot to be desired. If you can't because of objects embedded how can anyone else tell you how to do it? What prevents you from pouring in two colors at the same time?
Have you got space between the embedment and the wall of your mold? Use thin wire.
Don't fill the mold all the way and rotate it then add more liquid.
If none of these work I'm out of ideas.

Sorry, I'll try to clarify. The blanks contain hemlock cones, acorn caps and beechnut husks randomly arranged in the mold. At this time I am pouring individual 7/8" blanks but may change to a slab pour. Going back over some past posts I guess I need to wait a bit before pouring but since there are a lot of voids to fill I am worried about trapped air even though I am using a pressure pot.

I've attached a quick photo of some of the blanks.

why not make the swirls, then embed the items? use an over sized moldfor over flow and a thin wire to push them in.

My feeling is that way would trap a lot of air around the cones especially and with the short set time for alumilite I'd be nervous about getting the objects submerged in time. I'll maybe give it a try with one blank and see how it works.

Perhaps try pouring slower from both colors at the same time?

Put one in each hand, pouring so they mix on the way down?
