I have been having a problem with my Alumilite Crystal Clear getting very thick and being unusable for what I do. I have spoken with Carol at Alumilite and she has told me that it seems like I am the only one that has this problem. I have read about others who are having a problem with their Alumilite, she has asked that if you are having an issue with yours to please call her and let her know about it. The number is 800-447-9344 and she needs to know that you are having this issue so they can fix it.
Alumilite is a very good product but it isn't perfect yet so lets help them to make it better for us. Thank you

It is part "B" and I'm storing it the exact same way I store all my resins, it sits on a shelf in my temp/humidity controlled section of my shop. This issue has just started recently, the last 3 batches were acting up and they are on it. I did a pour last night and had no problem at all, everything was nice and smooth, I went to do a pour today and the "B"side is coming out as a thick gel. Others are having the same issue so I don't think it would be a storage thing.

Mixing the caps won't harm the product..or barely anyhow. My containers were close to empty..maybe 20 ounces in each one, and I mark my containers A and B. Well..maybe I wasn't awake or something..I poured and filled up each container with the wrong product! In one container, the bottom gelled up solid and in the other container the top of it gelled up solid. I let them sit for a good week then decided to see if anything could be salvaged. I bought two new containers. I poured out the A container but now labeled the new one to be B of course. I poked a hole through the semi-solid goo and poured the liquid out of the other container into a fresh container. I have been using the product that was contaminated with itself with absolutely no problems since pouring them into the new containers. I'm thankful, although it sucks that I lost easily a quart of casting resin and two perfectly good containers.

I was just trying to relate to my situation. My gallon jugs have pumps on them, so x-contamination only happens with "user failure". I do get a partial drip on the spout of the part b pump. You might call it a gel.

Tom, what I am calling gel is the entire bottle as thick as snot. This happened with one gallon that I just opened and didn't use so there was no chance of any type of contamination. I did get an email from Carol letting me know that they are on it, but if some others would let them know they are having the same issue it would help, there is no reason anyone should have to lose any resin because of this.
