Alumilite colors in PR?

I just started casting and am new to this website and am wondering if I can use Alumilite color dye in PR? Our hobby lobby carries PR and alumilite colors, they also have some PR colors but I really wanted to do a BLUE and ORANGE for a Bronco fan relative. And the regular PR colors only come in Blue there is no Orange here at our hobby lobby:frown:. Alumilite is available in both colors.

Also has anyone ever used the 2oz relish cups to cast in. I have a ton of them leftover from running a consession stand. Thought they would make perfect pendant blanks they are 1 3/4 inch diameter and about 1 inch tall. Plus they are dirt cheap at Sams. I can not find any marking on them for plastic only the solo logo. They seem to be new plastic.

Going to cast my first stamp sierra as soon as we get out of the deep freeze.

Yes the Alumilite colors will work, however they alone are transluscent.

If you need orange, mix the CC red and yellow.

As for the plastic cups, if they are what I think they are, no. They will melt.

They will work in pr. I use them all the time. Just make sure to mix and a little (a drop or less) goes a very long way.

Use paper cups for PR the waxed coated ones work great for me.Adding a touch of white will give colors a little bit of an opaque look.Have fun,Victor
