Learning about Alumilite through reading here an just going for it. I've been fairly successful by learning from the wealth of knowledge posted here on this forum.

Making some wood shards useable from the firewood pile last night and the timer started buzzing. When the timer buzzes everything stops and into the pressure pot it must go. Charge the the pot and wait......

Lids are left off, things lay as they were dropped, and it's generally a chaotic mess.

I think this picture sums up casting with Alumilite. I found it on my scale when I was cleaning up later.

Once it's mixed properly it does it's thing ready or not.

Alumilite is easier when you have a partner I think. I go by heat built up in the mixing cups, not by time. I usually only do two or three color pours though. You'll be doing pours all the time and get used to it quickly. It's addicting!

I just bought alumilite clear - slow cure which has about double the time, so around 15 minutes I think. Haven't used it yet though.
