Alumalite Shelf Life

I just found some Alumalite Clear Slow hiding on a shelf in my garage. I bought it about 8-9 months ago. Alumalite says the shelf life is only 3 months. I hate to have it go to waste. Is there anyone out there that has had this problem with shelf life and had no problem with castings?

I've used some almost a year old and it worked fine.
If you're not sure it's good try making a small casting and see if it cures.

You won't be wasting by trying it. I've been successful with Clear Slow that was 2 years old. It was, however, stored in my temperature controlled basement.

I've been successful with 8 year old epoxy resin.

I need to be better about using resin.

I think you'll be fine. Like the others have said, many of us have used older with good results, but I think heat or warm climates are harder than time on resin. Good luck!

I have some that's a couple years old. Probably going to give it a try and color it. I've heard the worst it would do in trying clear is to yellow, so…..

Mine is a year old and it still works just fine. (Also still crystal clear when doing label casts). - Dave
