due to a couple of reasons i am going to start using alumalite for casting. curtis's videos being a big one, as well as the fact that i have developed a sensitivity/allergy to silmar, even when turning. my question is, can i use the same dyes and tints, or do i have to buy all new stuff.
please help me out here.

You might want to list what dyes and tints you are using so people can give better feedback. I can say that Mica powders work in either. Others probably will, but this is the only one I cn give first had knowlege of.

Anything that has water in it can not be used. So Latex paints are out but oil or petroleum based are ok. When in doubt mix a half ounce of alumalite and add the color. If it is not a match you will get tons of bubbles. If it cleans up with water alone it is out. Water, moisture is the worst thing to have around alumalite. You will get bubbles out the you know where. DAHIK.

right now i have mica powders, oxides, Mixol pigments and "stampendous" that came with my Silmar resin. will they all work with the alumalite?
