Thanks for having me. I am long time DIYer around the home, but have only been turning pens for a year now. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can from all of you and hopefully better my craft.

Hello little bug. There are just a few of us active in this forum who are from Hawaii; glad to have you with us. You indicate you are from "Hawaii". Is that to mean Big Island? There is much available to learn from and inspire at IAP. You have found a good place. Good people. Don't overlook the library as a leaning source/answer source.

Hey I'm on the island of Oahu in Pearl City. Which is a few miles inland from Pearl Harbor.

Have some friends on the Big Island, one of which is heavy into wood working and turning. So if you ever go to the Big Island, yell at me.

By the way if you put your zip code on your personal information it will place you on the members map. This way other pen turners on the Island can see that you are around.

I may be in your neck of the woods in a couple of months. We supply some of the tank gauging equipment used in the Navy's Red Hill underground tank farm. We upgraded the equipment on half the tanks last year & will finish up the rest this year. Let me know if you'd like to meet up - I can bring you some Texas wood to play with.
