Almond Pen Blanks?

A friend of mine has asked me to make a few pens for his family.... as kids they were raised on an almond farm. For sentimental reasons he wants the pens made out of almond wood. Does anybody have a good source for almond blanks? And given that almond tends to split is it possible to find stabilized Almond blanks?

I have almond. How much do you need? These were from trees pulled and dried. Jardine Ranch, Paso Robles, Ca.
