Well, looks like lil miss TS Hannah is heading our way. I live right close to Raliegh, and I think there's someone on here from Apex and a few areas nearby. The center is supposed to pass just east of Raleigh according to the maps I've seen.

They expect the storm to be moving quickly and not pack the punch of a hurricane, so I don't expect that we'll be seeing widespread damage.

But we might see some free wood! I may have to go get myself a new Stihl chainsaw because I gave away that Poulan piece of junk I kept having to repair, didn't think I'd need one!

I am on-call this weekend for the Seminary, so y'all pray that I don't spend all night tonight using a wet/dry vac to clean out any classrooms that got flooded, some of our buildings are close to the century mark and flood easily.

Lol, I don't expect it to be more than a nice heavy t-storm and wind. I've been through plenty enough outright hurricanes and smaller tropical storms to know when to get out of dodge, but this is more of an inconvenience (or, a good nature show, depending on your outlook!).

Oh well, doesn't look like much free lumber in my area! I'm sitting here in the "midst" of what we are getting and it really isn't doing much but sprinkling and a bit breezy. The folks east of here are probably getting some interesting weather though.

Be nice if you could send some of that rain to the West Coast. Sacramento has not had any significant rain since mid Feb. We are really hurting for water and have two months left of the fire season if we get rain. We have plenty of room in our lakes as they are way down. We don't get Huricaines or Tropical storm out here so we have to depend on the Snow in the mountains for our water. Started out good last year and the mid January it stopped.

We've also been in a drought, it was REALLY bad at the beginning of summer, to the point that when you went fishing, you had to blow the dust off the fish before you could put them in the livewell:rolleyes:.

Well, there's no drought at my house. Water was flowing across my lawn this morning, and also through the greenhouse. A section of my driveway washed out (again). Sigh - now I have to dig all that gravel back up out of the creek. I believe part of an adjacent road washed away as well. It didn't stop me from hooking up 2 boats to the car and heading to Greensboro to go sailing, though.

Regards,
Eric
