Hello all.
I got my hands on a large yellow cedar burl. My question is, does anything need to be done differently to stabilize blanks from it? There seems to be sap in there and is a little bit sticky, despite being "dried" for 4 years.
I have stabilized other woods, but this one "feels" different, and I dont want to waste any of it, because of the cost of the wood.

Thanks,
Scott

I use a lot of this stuff and nothing needs to be done to it, other than turn and finish.
