Guess I'll sleep in the shop tonight:mad: the A/C in the house decided it's late June, hot, muggy and it don't want to work, so it quit. Seems the compressor is running but the outside fan decided it's vacation time :frown: .

That sucks. You're welcome to head up to Enid if you need a place to crash. I hope you get it working quickly.

Roy I feel your pain I just had the run capacitor and Thermostat replaced on mine, this is no time of year with the weather we've been having to be without AC there has been 3 deaths already this year in Memphis. I nearly had to wear a jacket today the heat index was only 102.

Bummer, Roy!
I guess a cot or air mattress in the shop if it's cool, would beat sweating in the house.
Hope it doesn't cost a bunch to fix, our thoughts will be with you!

Man, that really sucks! The power went out last night and without the air moving mad it almost unbearable. I remember when ours went out 2 yrs ago.

Just by chance is there a reset button for your fan motor? I ask because I actually new a guy who went without ac for months because he had no money for a repairman to check out his system and all it was in the end was the reset button had tripped.

Lou, checked with Southwest :airplane:tickets round trip $429,Local Holiday Inn Express for 2 days $129......Hmmmmm been wanting to meet Amy.......Damn that $300 difference.

Micheal checked no reset:mad::mad::mad:

Paul and all this time I thought we were friends:rolleyes:

I feel like I've been going about this pen turning thing all wrong. Sweat, dust, no fridgerator and no air. Heck I even had a newbie over today to show how to turn some of those great Emperors I've been posting lately. And you know he brought his own fan along to keep cool since I don't even have a fan in the shop. He felt so bad for me he even left the fan for me to use :)

I didn't know we were to turn in confort !!!!

Keep cool Roy, it's not so bad :biggrin:

Keith "mrburls"

I'm jealous you have air in the shop. I would be happy to sleep in my shop..I have a fridge and sattelite TV out there...just needs to be vacuumed though.

Fridge????
Man that sucks. The Mrs says I can't have one because I would never come into the house. I reminded her there is not latrine out there but all I got was a dirty look. It does have two comfy dog beds for our dobermans which is where I might be for a night or two.

Does that fact that the couch folds out and sleeps two help?!

Roy,

Hope you get that fixed soon. I had the same problem last month and just got it fixed one week ago...

Hope yours is faster to fix than mine. I needed an entire new system!!

Turn some pens and stay cool!!!

Fan motors are not that hard to replace. Is there a Graingers or similar supplier nearby? You can dismount the motor and take it in to find a match for it. My brother in law Darrell who also lives in Shawnee could probably tell you where to get one as he used to maintain the college campus before he got hurt and couldn't work.
