Advice on Chittim Burl

I am turning a piece of Chittim burl - it feels a bit oily. Are there any tips or cautions with this burl. This stuff is too expensive to screw up!

Wipe it with alcohol after sanding prior to applying finish and you will be fine. It is one of my favorites to work with. ***Disclaimer do not throw the wipe with alcohol or DNA in your trash can inside shop** I have heard stories of it spontaneously combusting.
