Did you ever have a shirt or a pair of shoes that were just about falling apart but fit so good you just couldn’t throw them out, in spite of what SHMBO says.

Well the other day a “friend of mine†had this pair of sneakers that were so comfy all the toes sang when they slipped inside.

Now there are maybe one or twenty holes in the sneaker never counted them. One small hole was on the bottom of the sole, which allowed water to sneak in from the bottom versus the holes on top that let water fall in. Not sure why my friend was bothered by this hole on the bottom, and not by any on the top.

So he said , “hey I have ca glue and some rubber I could make a patch from it, god im cleverâ€

So he cuts the patch, squeezes a pint of glue in the hole and puts the patch on. Now he says how do I put pressure on this to help it stick together. His answer “well ill just put the sneaker on and continue to work on the lathe.â€

No …no…..no not what your thinking didn’t clue his foot to the floor, he’s not that stupid, so your saying get to the point, what is the added benefit.

The added benefit is when the glue oozes into the inside of the sneaker and says hi to the sock, from now on you always have at least one sock already in your sneaker, so all you have to do
now is just put your foot in.

As soon as he removes the band aid on the foot covering that little spot of missing skin that sort of got stuck to the sock, once again his toes will sing in comfort.:D:D

Tell your friend, he should have noticed the smell of flesh burning!!!

I assume he was injured earlier in life and has no feeling in that foot (burning sensation was also overlooked).

AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT MY FRIEND SAID WHEN HE TRIED THIS!!![:D][:D][:D]

Heck, I was wondering who could be so dumb as to even patch fabric or shoes with CA. It's not flexible and it completely destroys fabric. Don't ask me how I know this...

Your friend might want to glue a sock in the other shoe so it will seem to have been planned. (Some annoying voice in my head is singing, "Diddle, diddle dumpling, my son John.")
