I started out making this pen to have a wood sleeve on the barrel, but I couldn't find anything I liked. I grabbed a little piece of mazzucchelli "celebration " cebloplast I had laying around, and decided I'd use that instead. The cap, section , and barrel finial are plain black acrylic, and the trim is argentium silver. I was in the mood do do some soldering, so I used argentium square wire for all the bands (except section band) and the clip.

Beautiful pen, John !!! . I especially love the clip !!! . Not to mention the lovely mix of colored and black materials

Your clips just keep getting better and better John. This one has really raised the bar.
I like timber pens, so would have liked to see what you would have came up with there. But the black has fitted in really well with the rest of the pen.

As everyones has mentioned: Beautiful work all the way around!

What did you use or how did you make the threads? It doesn't look like that is normal tap and die threads.

Well these were my two options, but wasn't really feeling either. Also, I was trying to make something I could sell quickly, and vintage material >wood in the fountain pen world. One day I'll do more wood stuff.

Thanks. They're square profile, and I cut them using my lathe and a single point tool.
