I am looking at either upgrading my Quicken to include the business package or going with Quickbooks. Does anyone use either software for their business or is there a better one?

Also I am thinking of going with a postage type software like PitneyBowes or Stamps.com. Has anyone used either of these or is there a better one?

I have used Quicken Home and business when I was treasurer for our regional HazMat team. This package created mailing lists, invoices and kept track of most everything a small business would need. I did not need inventory so I can't comment on that, but When I tried Quickbooks before I went to Home and business, It seemed like overkill and had a bit of a learning curve. Just my opinion. You might check out their website and compare and see which one has the features you need.

I use a little program called Swift Express Accounting.. picked it up at office supply house.. much cheaper than quick books, but very light weight in application. I wanted a program that would allow a cost of goods feature to keep track of the costs going into the mfgr of my goods... I think QB has that feature, but the Swift Express turned out not to. Otherwise, it's an Ok accounting software... needed some creative thinking though. The upgraded version had what I wanted, but didn't like the cost of the upgrade, so I adapted what I have to serve - somewhat. Thinking about upgrading in the future.

I serve as the treasurer at my church and we use Quick Books. I like the software but I can not comment on the invoice/billing/accounts receivable aspects as we have no need for those functions. I think the software is top notch for a small business.

We use Quick Books at the place that I work . It's a very powerful program but it seems to have a bit of a learning curve , it covers almost all aspects of running your business from invoicing to accounts payable , it's allot to learn .
