LOML passed her 2nd USMLE (US Medical Licensure Exam) today. Step 1 and Step 2CK are done!!! One more, USMLE Step 2CS (Clinical Skills) and she can start applying for residency programs (she can now actually).

The third one should be much easier than the first 2 from what we've heard.

Its been tough for her since some of the theory part that she just passed was taken by her (in college) about 15 years ago.[:0]

I am very proud of her achievement...thus this gloat. :D[:I]

If her third one is the oral exam, it won't be easy. When my son was preparing for his orals, doctor friends all said they came out of theirs certain they had failed and completely wrung out and defeated. Afterwards my son expressed similar feelings. But he passed.
Edit: I forgot, good luck to her, I'm sure her hard work will pay off.

Definite CONGRATUATIONS are in order. Now Dario, you get busy and make her a "special" doctor pen out of gold or sumthing (another Southern word for you all). Flowers and a great diner are also good at this time to, ya hear! [:D]

Frank,

I didn't say easy...just easier (as compared to the other 2) in her case. This is factoring her having practiced medicine for more than 6 years before moving here in the US. The comparison also factored in the theoretical things she "forgot" over those years and needed to review. I agree and am pretty sure it is also a tough exam though.

Thank you all...she is reading these with me [;)]
